Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton was named to his first All-Star team on Thursday night. Portland Trail Blazers guard Josh Hart took to Twitter to congratulate the All-Star reserve, while also trolling him, stating:
"Congrats fake allstar @TyHaliburton22"
Hart was referencing comments made by New York Knicks analyst Wally Szczerbiak in which he labeled Haliburton a fake All-Star. Most fans, however, failed to catch the reference and used it as an opportunity to take shots at Hart.
One fan used the term 'Mr. Irrelevant', alluding to Hart being the final pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. Another used Hart's statline from Wednesday night's victory against him.

Wally Szczerbiak's comments about Tyrese Haliburton
Earlier this season, New York Knicks analyst Wally Szczerbiak took an unprovoked shot at Tyrese Haliburton in the postgame show of the Knicks' matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
"Mr. Supposed, wannabe, fake All-Star with the big miss there... Last chance, down 3 for the wannabe All-Star. He's in his 2nd year, he's a very good player. He's not gonna make the All-Star team. A guy like Julius Randle or Jalen Brunson will make it over Tyrese Haliburton and tonight we saw why."
Haliburton responded on Taylor Rooks' podcast, stating:
"I know the name Wally Szczerbiak. I couldn't tell you where he played. I couldn't tell you what he did as a basketball player. He had a lot to say about me. I was, like, first, who is this? And why is he talking about me like this?"
The Pacers guard is currently averaging 20.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 10.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.4 blocks per game while shooting 47.9% from the field, 39.5% from 3-point range and 88.0% from the free-throw line.
