Basketball legends Dirk Nowitzki and Blake Griffin are teaming up with sports journalist Taylor Rook for Amazon Prime's first NBA coverage. Rooks on Tuesday made the announcement on Instagram, posting a collage of pictures featuring herself, the basketball legends and screenshots of articles related to their upcoming show.

There is yet to be a title for the show, and the release date hasn't been revealed. Nevertheless, it seems that fellow NBA legends, such as LeBron James' former teammate Kevin Love, and other prominent personalities are excited to watch the trio of Griffin, Nowitzki and Rooks.

Here's what some had to say in the comments section of Taylor's post on Instagram:

"Awesome stuff and great crew," Kevin Love wrote.

Blake Griffin set to become NBA analyst for first time

It wasn't too long ago that Blake Griffin was playing on the hardwood. Before retiring from the NBA, he last played for the Boston Celtics, where he served as the team's veteran leader. His stint with the Celtics was short-lived as he only got to play in 41 games. He averaged 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists during his tenure in Boston.

After 13 seasons of electrifying the basketball court, Griffin called it quits. It was a shocker to many considering how young the former star forward was. Blake hung up his laces at the age of 34. This led to many fans wondering what could be next for the big man.

Apparently, Blake Griffin decided to take the traditional route and become an NBA analyst. While this may be exciting news to many, it isn't a surprise at all. Many NBA legends before Griffin have done the same. It was only a matter of time before he decided to do so himself.
