Memphis Grizzlies center Zach Edey was the latest NBA player to find himself on the receiving end of a hard foul from Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green. Edey, who is still in his rookie season and played just 22 games at the professional level, was involved in a tussle with Green on Saturday night, with Green receiving a flagrant foul.
The incident took place early in the fourth quarter after Edey brought down the ball in the post and seemed to have a clear dunk opportunity. Green came down hard on the big man, grabbing him with both arms, and that led to some shoving under the hoop. The foul was upgraded to a flagrant foul penalty 1 after the officials reviewed the play.
This was not Green's first scuffle with an opposing player this season. One former NBA player seems to have had enough of the forward's antics. Ron Harper, who played alongside the legendary Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls' golden era in the 90s, posted on X criticizing Green for his behavior.
"A tired act by now I think???" Harper wrote.

Harper played 15 seasons in the NBA and appeared in 1,009 games with four different organizations. He went on to win three championships alongside Jordan and Scottie Pippen in Chicago and added two more rings with the LA Lakers in 2000 and 2001.
This was the second time his season that Edey and Green were involved in an incident, with the latter receiving a flagrant for a trip during the matchup on Nov. 15.
Draymond Green questions officials after receiving another flagrant foul and technical
Draymond Green continues to be a contentious figure with his intense and sometimes over-enthusiastic style of play. Saturday's flagrant foul was followed by a technical foul shortly after for apparently saying "boom" after he drilled a 3-pointer. Following the win over the Grizzlies, Green questioned the officials for their strict rulings and seemed to suggest his reputation played a role.
"No, but it's Draymond Green, that's why it's a flagrant foul," Green said. "If I blow on someone, you'll review it ... I got a tech for saying 'boom.' When did they (referees) become so above the law that you can't say 'boom'?"
The Warriors would go on to win the game on Saturday, 121-113, to improve to 18-16 on the season. Green finished with nine points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Over 30 games this season, he is averaging 8.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.1 blocks.
