The Los Angeles Lakers' management of Bronny James has drawn some criticism.
There were earlier reports of him not playing in road games in the G-League, even though he could clearly benefit from that.
He wound up suiting up and playing on the road, but he's now been called back up, which, according to NBA insider Marc Stein, is a mistake:

“The unanimous view I heard from watching scouts at the Showcase is that James needs as much time as he can get in the G League to improve all aspects of his point guard play, from his floor game to (especially) his ability to make shots," wrote Stein.
Needless to say, it didn't take long before fans expressed a similar sentiment:
"Franchise failure," one fan wrote.
"i can envision bronny’s 0-6 poor performance tonight," another fan wrote with a laughing emoji.
"Lakers boy the job is done," another one chimed in.
Several other fans also shared their thoughts:
"Lakers development of Bronny is so embarrassing," a fan tweeted.
"He’s playing in garbage time when the lakers are down 20," another one added.
"This is big reason I’m not watching NBA. LeBron and Clutch sports have ruined the game. They all SOFT AF now," another person said.
Dwyane Wade wanted to see Bronny James getting called up
Still, hall of famer Dwyane Wade actually believes this was the right decision. He thinks that since the Lakers aren't a championship contender, they might as well give the fans what they want to see:
“The habits that are being built to create the culture JJ [Redick] is trying to establish with his coaching style are promising,” the three-time NBA champion said in the latest edition of his podcast. “But let’s be real—we want to see Bronny. This is not a championship team; it’s not a championship roster at this point.”
Wade believes that having Bronny playing with LeBron James would give the fans a show:
“Honestly, bring Bronny up. We want to see that. I think Paul Pierce said it recently too: I want to see LeBron and Bronny connecting on a lob. I tune into the Lakers this season to see that,” Wade continued. “When I look at the Lakers, I want Anthony Davis to have an MVP-type year. As a fan, I’d love to see LeBron continue playing at the high level he’s capable of. And, honestly, I want to see him and Bronny do their thing together on the court.”
At the end of the day, Bronny James will always have all eyes set on him, for better or worse. Hopefully, the team will end up doing what's best for his development.
