Steph Curry's Golden State Warriors came out ice cold offensively during the first half of Tuesday's home matchup against the shorthanded Miami Heat. Early in the second quarter, the two-time MVP's frustration appeared to boil over on the sideline.
Curry delivered a strong first-half performance, tallying a game-high 20 points, four rebounds, two blocks and six 3-pointers, shooting 7-for-12 (58.3%) across 17 minutes.
However, his teammates consistently missed the mark, as Golden State finished the half shooting just 19-for-55 (34.5%) and 8-for-29 from downtown (27.6%). Consequently, the Warriors entered halftime trailing 61-48 despite Miami playing without its top player, superstar forward Jimmy Butler.
Tuesday marked the third game of Butler's seven-game suspension for "multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team" amid his apparent efforts to get traded.

Curry seemingly wasn't fond of his squad's production against a depleted opponent in front of its home crowd. With the Heat leading 42-29 with 7:41 remaining in the first half, he walked to the bench and smacked a chair during a timeout.
The Warriors are also undermanned, missing three rotation players in forward Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) and guards Brandin Podziemski (abdomen) and Gary Payton II (calf). Nevertheless, they entered the evening favored to emerge victorious against a Miami team on a three-game losing streak.

Steph Curry's Warriors come out flat after blowout home loss to shorthanded Kings
Golden State's poor first-half showing against Miami came on the heels of Sunday's lopsided 129-99 home loss to the Sacramento Kings.
Sacramento was also without arguably its top player, star point guard De'Aaron Fox (hip). However, the Warriors couldn't capitalize, falling behind by as many as 39 points at Chase Center.
After the contest, Steph Curry noted that his team was "not really built" to make "crazy comebacks." The four-time NBA champion also highlighted Golden State's need to start games "a lot better."
Given Tuesday's first-half performance, it appears Curry's teammates failed to receive his message.
