Seattle Storm forward Gabby Williams turned 28 years old on Monday, Sept. 9. And she also received an early birthday surprise when the team gifted her a Tissot timepiece to celebrate her inclusion in the franchise's all-time 25 list.
Ahead of the season, the Storm launched a fan voting to select the top 25 players in the team's history. These players, known as STORM25, were honored at halftime during the 25th Anniversary game on June 23.
On Sunday, a day before her birthday, Gabby Williams shared her new Tissot Chrono XL Classic on her Instagram stories, a gift from the Storm recognizing her achievement.
The watch, which costs $495 according to the Tissot website, featured the Storm’s signature green, yellow and gray colors, and Williams expressed her appreciation for the team in the caption.

Gabby Williams is finding her groove with the Storm as of late
Following her key role in France’s silver-medal finish at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Williams rejoined the Storm to bolster their frontcourt depth. At the Paris Olympics, she was named the best defensive player and earned a spot on the All-Star Five.
Early in the WNBA season, Williams struggled, averaging 4.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds over her first four games in 27.1 minutes per game and shooting just 20.8% from the field.
However, she has recently hit her stride, posting 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game over her last three outings, with an impressive 61.5% shooting in 25.5 minutes per game.
Her season-high performance came in a seven-point loss to the New York Liberty on Sept. 5, where she tallied 17 points and five rebounds in 33 minutes of action.
Williams, originally drafted by the Chicago Sky in 2018, first joined the Seattle Storm in 2022.
That year marked her last full WNBA season before heading overseas. She averaged 7.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, shooting a career-high 44.4% from the field while starting all 36 games.
She made headlines after shining in the gold medal match between the USA and France at the Olympics, finishing the game with 19 points, seven rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
