Back on April 28, 2023, Kevin Durant became the third NBA player with a Nike lifetime deal alongside Michael Jordan and LeBron James. It was an incredible achievement for him considering the success of his signature shoes. Hilariously, the Suns forward responded to online streamer IShowSpeed after he revealed that he has an impressive Durant sneaker collection.

Nike has released several iconic signature sneaker lines of prominent athletes and Kevin Durant's name is closely associated with it. Considering the impressive body of work that the Suns superstar has put forth throughout his career, he garnered a strong following in the process.

The popular YouTuber shared the reveal on influencer Logan Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast where he stated that his collection included the "KD 7" and the "KD 8."

"Get off my a*s," Durant said.

Online streamer revealed that a Kevin Durant comment led him to use Vaseline

During an interview with GQ Sports, IShowSpeed, also known as Darren Jason Watkins Jr., shared the time that Kevin Durant described his legs as "ashy" and how it influenced him to include Vaseline in his daily routine.

"I was talking to Kevin Durant, he literally looked at my legs and said, 'You ashy as f**k,'" Watkins Jr. said. That right there, that changed me. You know it really made me mad because KD is the one that's ashy. ... I try to put Vaseline lotion on now."

When he first heard that comment from the 14-time NBA All-Star, it made him furious enough as he considered Durant to be the one with "ashy" legs. Regardless of how he felt, it still gravitated him toward the use of Vaseline to alter what the two-time champion said.

Kevin Durant highlighted this year's Team USA roster as the deepest team he's been on for USA Basketball

In his interview with Yahoo Sports, Durant considered this year's Team USA roster as the deepest one he's been on in terms of the several number-one options present.

"It's definitely the deepest team I've played on since I've been with USA Basketball," Durant said. "From top to bottom, everybody is the guy on their team. ... The last Olympics we had a couple of younger role players in the league that grinded their way up in camp and got that opportunity. ... These guys are Hall of Famers. I'm excited about this. ..."

He also compared this year's squad to the previous Olympic team that won gold back in 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. Durant pointed out that the past lineup had quality role players who confidently stepped up to the challenge of playing against international teams.

However, this time around USA Basketball is rolling out a team filled with Hall of Famers and versatile players at each position. From the inclusion of four-time champions LeBron James and Stephen Curry to 2024 NBA Champions Jayson Tatum and Jrue Holiday, the ball club is stacked.
