LaMelo Ball once dramatically vented his feelings after his father and brothers forced him to get a haircut. The Ball family has gained quite a following in the NBA community after Lonzo and LaMelo Ball made it to the NBA. In 2018, they had a reality TV show called "Ball in the Family" that covered their day-to-day for their fans.
In one episode, LaMelo's brother and father asked him to get his hair cut. However, the Charlotte Hornets star who was then playing in the Junior Basketball Association was adamant about not getting a haircut. To make him agree, Lonzo and his father, LaVar, offered him money, with the final offer being $700 from LaVar.
LaMelo Ball later attended an interview for the show, where the interviewer complimented his haircut. However, Ball shrugged it off with a dramatic outburst.
"Get this cougar away from me," he said. (12:50)

LaMelo's father, LaVar Ball, later explained why he wished to see his son get a haircut against his wishes.
"I don't like when he wakes up and it's smashed up against his head where it look like he been sleeping all day," LaVar said. "Because now it look like he's not ready to do anything like he just woke up like do I really have to do this. I don't like that look."
After that hilarious incident, LaMelo Ball was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets as the first pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He won the Rookie of the Year award the following year, but the latter half of his career was plagued with injuries.
However, Ball is back on the court and doing better than his previous seasons in the league. He is averaging 30.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.4 assists.
LaMelo Ball leads the All-Star voting among guards in the Eastern Conference
LaMelo Ball's return has been a great boost to the Charlotte Hornets who have been in slumps for the past few seasons. Although they are having a terrible run this season with a record of 7-25, their overall play has improved with the inclusion of a healthy LaMelo.
On Thursday, the NBA Communications handle on X released a post featuring the initial results of the All-Star voting, and Ball is dominating the other guards in the Eastern Conference.
He has 947,444 votes and is miles ahead of second place Donovan Mitchell who has a tally of 718,084. If the Hornets star keeps up with such stunning performances, he will soon grab his second All-Star nomination.
