Tyrese Maxey was confused after watching the 76ers welcome video for Paul George
Paul George signing with the Philadelphia 76ers was a big move this offseason. After spending five years with the LA Clippers, he decided to join Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, making them a title contender for the next season.
On July 29, Maxey appeared on his new teammate Paul George’s “Podcast P with Paul George” show. During the show, Maxey remarked that he was about to text the Sixer's social media team when he watched PG’s welcome video.
Maxey said that he was confused with the video because a significant part of the highlight showed George scoring on Maxey.
“I was watching the highlights they posted, you know when he [Paul George] signed. I am like listen here, I thought he was on my team, why are they posting so many highlights of him scoring on me?
"That’s him, two highlights of him scoring on me…I almost text the people like ‘Hey what are we doing?’”
The trio of Tyrese Maxey, Paul George, and Joel Embiid has the potential to become the most dominant in the league. The Sixers will have three of arguably the best players each at point guard, center, and wing position.
