NBA fans weren't satisfied with Paul George's performance on Friday against the Indiana Pacers. George's subpar outing ended in a 121-107 loss for the Philadelphia 76ers. The All-Star forward finished the game with 15 points, five rebounds, and two assists on a 41.7% shooting clip.
The Sixers played against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, where George had 12 points, seven rebounds and two assists. The 6-foot-8 forward went 6-for-13 from the field but failed to make a single shot from downtown, attempting five shots.
Since the Sixers' game against the Bulls, the team had a four-day break. Unfortunately for George, the long break didn't help his shooting against Indiana, especially after center Joel Embiid had to exit the game due to a facial injury.

Before their game against the Pacers, George had played 12 games for the Sixers in the 2024-25 NBA season. The nine-time All-Star is posting some of the worst averages of his career, with 16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists.
His efficiency is a significant reason for his struggles. The four-time All-Defensive player is shooting 41%, including 31% from beyond the arc.
Paul George talks about providing support for injured teammate Joel Embiid
Injuries have been the biggest concern of Embiid’s career. The big man missed the start of the season due to injury management and was heavily criticized for it. Now that he's back, a facial injury could set him back, depending on its severity.
Through all of this, Paul George can only support Embiid. Following the team's practice on Thursday, George talked about how he can uplift his teammates’ spirits, as he's also battled plenty of injuries in his career.
"You face the injury that you know you're not yourself. You not the same but you're expected to be yourself," George said. "Mentally it is tough. It is hard to come to grips and try to figure out how can I kind of close the distance of what I was while being this new, re-tooling and everything. I 100% understand where he comes from ... Only thing I can do is be a support for him."
In just his second game back, Embiid suffered a sinus fracture on Friday against the Pacers.
