Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has taken the NBA by storm. After developing into one of the NBA's top players, there's an argument that Giannis has become the best player in the world.

That's just what former NBA veteran and current analyst Kendrick Perkins believes. It's not often that a player of Giannis' skill set continues to take such massive strides forward in his development each year. But that's just the type of player Antetokounmpo has become.

The superstar forward is known for his possessed mentality when it comes to his desire to be great. With the combination of length, power and quickness Giannis has in his arsenal, his dominance on the court cannot be understated. Speaking recently on ESPN's "NBA Today," Kendrick Perkins went on to say that he believes Giannis Antetokounmpo is "the best basketball player in the world."

Throughout the 2021-22 NBA season, Giannis Antetokounmpo continued to show why he's such a dominant player. The Milwaukee Bucks dealt with a number of injuries to key players throughout the season. That meant that someone had to step up for the Bucks to contend in the Eastern Conference.

That's when the Bucks leaned on their superstar forward. Giannis went on to post averages of 29.9 points, 11.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game. He was the main reason why the Bucks were able to go on such a strong run in the second half of the season.

Eventually, Milwaukee would have to face the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals. To make things more difficult, Giannis was without his fellow star teammate Khris Middleton. That didn't stop Antetokounmpo from single-handedly pushing the Celtics to seven games.

Unfortunately, the Bucks went on to be eliminated, but that wasn't until Giannis had shown just how dominant he could be. During the series against the Celtics, Giannis averaged 33.9 points, 14.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game.

It's now time for Antetokounmpo to attempt his revenge after coming up short in 2021-22. So far he's off to a great start, as the Milwaukee Bucks took care of business on the road against the Philadelphia 76ers. On opening night, Giannis went on to finish with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists.
