Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks began a five-game road trip on Tuesday night at the Chase Center against the Golden State Warriors. Antetokounmpo has been dealing with right knee pain but was upgraded to available before tipoff.
"The Greek Freak" has had the injury for the majority of the season though his calf has always been the more concerning issue. He missed six games in early February because of a calf injury but has remained relatively healthy since returning after the All-Star break.
Coach Doc Rivers didn't make changes to his starting five despite Steph Curry's absence for the Warriors. Antetokounmpo was joined by Damian Lillard, Taurean Prince, Kyle Kuzma and Brook Lopez. But how did the two-time NBA MVP perform against Golden State?

Antetokounmpo had a subpar game, finishing with 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. He missed 11 shots and was locked down by Draymond Green. He did have a good defensive performance with three steals and two blocks. He also went to the charity stripe 15 times, making 10 free throws.

It was a weird game not just for Giannis Antetokounmpo, but also for the rest of the Milwaukee Bucks. They struggled with their shot in the first half and were down big at halftime. However, they began finding their rhythm in the third quarter and managed to get the lead back.
Kyle Kuzma had a team-high 22 points, hitting five 3-point shots. Brook Lopez and Damian Lillard each scored 16 points, while Gary Trent Jr. had 10 points off the bench. They went cold again late in the fourth quarter, failing to score in the final four minutes.
Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler III led the way for the Golden State Warriors with 24 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists. Without Steph Curry, Butler had to take over and had some help from Brandin Podziemski, Buddy Hield and Quinten Post.

How did Giannis Antetokounmpo perform tonight?
Giannis Antetokounmpo just didn't have it on Tuesday night against the Golden Stae Warriors. Antetokounmpo scored five points in each quarter, barely making an impact on offense. He was unable to dominate the paint against Draymond Green, who had a hard time stopping Aaron Gordon in their previous game.
While Antetokounmpo had Green in foul trouble, he failed to score when defended by the former Defensive Player of the Year. He went 0-for-7 from the field and committed two turnovers. It was a defensive masterclass for Green, who had some help from his teammates to use the "wall" around "The Greek Freak."
Nevertheless, Antetokounmpo will look to bounce back and play better on Thursday when they visit the LA Lakers at Crypto.com Arena.
