Gilbert Arenas's son Alijah Arenas is arguably the hottest high school basketball player in the country. His proud mother, Laura Govan, has been active on social media lately, with her latest post celebrating Alijah's impressive 37-point performance.
Laura Govan reposted a post by "The Hoop Spill" on her Instagram story. The post was in praise of Alijah Arenas' 37-point outburst against the opposing team at the Capitol City Classic. One of the highlights of his outing was an ankle breaker that left his defender on the floor.
Govan reposted it on her IG story and reacted with flexed bicep emojis in the caption.

Laura Govan showers praise on son Alijah Arenas
Alijah Arenas will soon make his decision about his next step after he got reclassified into the 2025 class. While he has been climbing the fame's ladder every day, his mother, Govan, is proud of the human side of her son that she sees on a daily basis.
In September earlier this year, TMZ Sports spoke to Govan about her son Alijah. Govan proudly shared that Alijah was not just a great basketball player but also a sweet and great human being.
"He's a great kid," she said. "He's a scholar athlete. He's sweet. I've seen him tell me to stop in the middle of the street, take off his shoes, and give them to a homeless person. That's just who he is in his heart."
However, Govan doesn't want the world to compare her son to his father. As good as Gilbert Arenas was on the basketball court, Govan wants it to be entirely her son's journey. She wants her son to carve his path in his own way.
"This isn't the Gilbert Arenas story, this is the Alijah Areans story. It's his turn to pave his way, do his own thing, and have it how he wants to have it."
The mother of four thinks that her son is better than his father. When asked if Alijah could beat his father Gilbert Arenas in a one-on-one game, Govan was more than confident.
"Hell yeah, you kidding me? F*** outta here."
Alijah Arenas is 17 years old and already taller than his father. He has shown his exceptional skill on the court, especially at the scoring end.
