Gilbert Arenas' GF Melli Monaco drops 3-word reaction on Alijah Arenas' mid-air 360 spin move

Alijah Arenas, the son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas, is one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation and continues to put on dazzling performances week after week. The high school star has scouts talking and there is plenty of interest from some of the top college programs in the country.

Melli Monaco, Gilbert Arenas' girlfriend, has had a chance to see Alijah's moves up close and was impressed by what she saw. On Tuesday, Monaco shared a clip on her Instagram story of Arenas pulling off a spin move followed by a mid-air 360 layup.

Monaco shared a special message for the young man, adding the following caption:

"My favorite move 😍🤯"

In the video, the five-star recruit of Chatsworth High School threads his way past two defenders with a spin move and evades a third defender with a mid-air 360 spin.

Alijah's father, Gilbert Arenas, played 11 seasons in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, Washington Wizards, Orlando Magic and Memphis Grizzlies. He was a three-time All-Star and was named to the All-NBA second team in 2007.

Gilbert and his ex, Laura Govan, had four children together: Izela, Alijah, Hamiley and Aloni.

Arenas reportedly met Melli Monaco in 2023 and they have been in a relationship since.

Alijah Arenas still has a long way to go before making the jump to the NBA, but the 17-year-old is taking all the right steps to eventually go pro.

In September, Arenas' mother, Laura Govan, shared a clip on her Instagram account of the rising star training alongside former NBA MVP Kevin Durant. The workout was set up by Proactive Sports Performance in California.

The proud mother shared the following message to go with the short clip:

"My baby going to work!!!"

Per 247Sports, Arenas is the No. 5 ranked player in his class. He has yet to commit to a college but has received interest from Alabama, Arizona State, UCLA, UTEP, Texas, Kansas and Kentucky, among others. Arenas has also been linked to his father's alma mater, Arizona.
