Legendary sportscaster Jim Nantz called his final game for the NCAA on Monday as the Connecticut Huskies dethroned the San Diego State Aztecs 76-59 for the national title.

In the final moments of his broadcasting career, Nantz shared the things he learned from his experiences over the years. Before the programme came to an end, he thanked all his viewers and listeners.

Fans couldn't help but share their appreciation towards Nantz, who has been broadcasting for over three decades. So it's only natural that sports enthusiasts would miss the legendary announcer.

The legendary broadcaster's voice has become a staple for the NCAA, which is why people who've been watching college basketball will truly miss him. Nantz's first play-by-play assignment for CBS was in January 1986 when he was only 26.

Fast forward 37 years, Nantz is calling it quits after announcing for 354 NCAA tournament games.
