The Golden State Warriors will host the league-leading Cleveland Cavaliers in what promises to be an electrifying NBA regular season matchup on Monday. Steph Curry and Co. are coming off a morale-boosting 109-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.
However, the Warriors have struggled to maintain consistency, stumbling significantly after their strong start to the season. Steve Kerr's team has dropped seven of their last 10 games, falling to ninth place in the Western Conference standings with a 16-15 record. At one point earlier in the season, Golden State had even claimed the top spot in the conference.
The Warriors will be eager to turn their season around and there’s no better way to do that than securing a statement win against the team with the best record in the league. They’ll also have extra motivation to settle the score with the Cavaliers, who dominated them earlier this season with a commanding 136-117 victory.

Unfortunately, Golden State will be without two key rotational players for Monday's contest. However, The silver lining for Warriors fans is that superstar Steph Curry is absent from the team's injury report and is set to lead the charge.
Brandin Podziemski has been ruled out due to right abdominal tightness. The young guard sustained the injury during the team’s last game, forcing him to exit after logging just 11 minutes.
Gary Payton II will remain sidelined as he continues to recover from a mid-calf strain. Payton has missed the last two games and is expected to be re-evaluated in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Moses Moody, who is dealing with a left knee issue, is listed as "probable" and could provide valuable minutes in the matchup.
