Golden State Warriors Mock Draft 2024: Projected picks (Imagn)

In recent history, the Golden State Warriors have shown they are capable of finding gems throughout the NBA draft. They'll have a tall task ahead of them this year as they have just one pick in 2024.

Back in 2019, the Warriors traded their first-round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies in a deal centered around Andre Iguodala. Heading into draft night on Wednesday, their only pick is at No. 52.

While most of their core came at the top of their respective drafts, the Golden State Warriors have found gems with later selections as well. Most notably Draymond Green, whom they selected in the second round.

With just one pick towards the end of the draft, Mike Dunleavy has a tall task at hand. If they want any chance at finding a valuable prospect, they're going to need to do their homework.

As draft night rapidly approaches, here is a dive into one prospect who has been linked to them in mock drafts.

Who is connected to the Golden State Warriors in recent NBA mock drafts?

In his latest mock, NBA draft expert Jonathan Wasserman has the Golden State Warriors selecting Harrison Ingram. He is a 6-foot-8 forward who spent the past year playing in college at the University of North Carolina.

Ingram is coming off his best season in college, posting averages of 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds. He was also an effective three-point shooter, knocking down 38.5% of his attempts while shooting close to five threes a game.

For his NBA player comparison, Wasserman chose New Orleans Pelicans forward Naji Marshall. He has carved out a nice role for himself in the league as a three-and-D forward.

From a style of play standpoint, Ingram could make a lot of sense for the Golden State Warriors. For starters, he is an older prospect. At 21 years old, he might be able to step in right away and provide minutes off the bench if needed.

Along with being a more polished prospect, Ingram also fits the Warriors' play style. He can provide size at the wing position and is capable of spacing the floor. With players like Steph Curry and Jonathan Kuminga on the roster, Golden State needs complementary pieces for the core. Ingram might be able to slot into a role in Steve Kerr's rotation as a floor-spacing forward.

After not making the playoffs last season, the Warriors will try to be more competitive in 2025. Ingram isn't a flashy prospect in any sense, but is a player who could be a rotation piece. Finding a player like that at No. 52 would be a massive steal for the Warriors front office.
