The Golden State Warriors will feature in the second game of Tuesday's opening night doubleheader for the 2023-24 NBA season. They will face former Warriors teammate Kevin Durant who is now donning the Phoenix Suns jersey.
While everyone waits for the said game, there have already been speculations on what will be the Warriors' starting lineup, especially after acquiring Chris Paul.
Of course, Golden State's Big Three, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, should have a place in the first five.

However, Paul joining the Warriors created a possibility that they might employ a "very small ball" starting five.
Due to the uncertainty of whether Paul is willing to come off the bench, many presumed that he would start at point guard, which in effect moves Curry to the shooting guard spot.
The possible transition for Thompson should be smooth as he remains at the wings this time as a small forward, but the problem would be at the big men positions.
Assuming Andrew Wiggins keeps his starter role too, he might shift to the power forward spot, sliding Draymond Green to the center position, which would indeed lead to a ridiculously small starting five with no player above six-feet-seven.
Another option is that Kevon Looney remains as the starting center, but that means either Andrew Wiggins -- the more likely case -- or Draymond Green has to come off the bench.
However, knowing coach Steve Kerr's knack for jacking up threes, Dario Saric could threaten Kevon Looney's stay as starting center.
As it stands, the Warriors might stick to the Curry-Thompson-Wiggins-Green-Looney combination.
Jonathan Kuminga, who had a solid preseason, could also make a case to make the start, although the likelihood is that he leads their second unit.
Completing their opening night roster are Trayce Jackson-Davis, Cory Joseph, Moses Moody, Gary Payton II, Brandin Podziemski, and two-way players Usman Garuba, Lester Quinones, and Jerome Robinson.
The Warriors still have a solid bench
It is imminent that the Warriors will rely a lot on Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney, Chris Paul, Andrew Wiggins, and even Jonathan Kuminga, Dario Saric, and Gary Payton II this season.
Steve Kerr is currently focused on determining the starting five for Golden State's upcoming season opener. To achieve this goal, he already experimented with different lineups in the preseason to evaluate each player's performance at every position. The team's main core has already been established, so the emphasis now is on finding the ideal starting lineup.
As aforementioned, it is expected that Curry, Thompson, and Green are still in the first unit, leaving two spots open.
Regardless of who completes the starters, the team will have some depth on the bench with whoever becomes substitutes among Looney, Paul, Wiggins, Kuminga, Saric, and Payton, which could be vital in the long regular season grind plus the debuting in-season tournament.
