The Golden State Warriors were demolished 144-93 as the Memphis Grizzlies stamped their authority on Steph Curry and Co. at FedEx Forum on Thursday. It was a brutal 51-point loss, as the visitors had no answer to the Grizzlies' bench, which exploded even as Ja Morant had a quiet evening.
It was not a great debut for the Warriors' midseason acquisition Dennis Schroder. The guard ended with just five points, two rebounds, and five assists in 21 minutes of action. The ugly loss sees the Warriors slip to 14-12 — a record that could hamper their progress in a stacked Western Conference.

Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies Recap
It was one of those forgettable games for the Golden State Warriors as their key names came up short with the Grizzlies putting them under pressure throughout the contest. They scored twice the points as the Dubs to lead the first quarter 37-15. The second and third quarters were equally dismal for the Bay Area side as they were outscored 32-23 and 40-21 in the third.
With the game all but done in the third quarter, Steve Kerr's deep rotation theory comes into focus again as his stars all played roughly between 17-20 minutes. Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 21 points, three rebounds and six assists. Andrew Wiggins had 19 points while it was a rare off-night for Steph Curry as the superstar went 0-of-7 from the field and 0-of-6 from beyond the arc for just two points that came off free throws.
Santi Aldama fired off 21 points for Memphis. Coming off the bench, he had company with role players Jake LaRavia and Luke Kennard propping up 19 and 15 points, respectively. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane had 17 and 15 points, respectively. Morant ended with just nine points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field and 1-of-5 from the 3-point line.
