Fans of the Brooklyn Nets have had little to cheer about thus far in 2025, given that their team has lost all but one of their five calendar games to start the year. Still, they found something to get hyped about during the Nets' 113-98 loss to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
During one sequence, Cade Cunningham tried to go after a loose ball as it approached the sideline. The ball ended up going out of bounds — right into the fingertips of the Nets' lead game analyst.
Sarah Kustok, who was sitting right next to longtime Nets commentator Ian Eagle, grabbed the ball with one hand before it could get lost in the stands. By no means is this one-handed catch a fluke, as the 43-year-old broadcaster is a former captain of the DePaul Blue Demons and was known for her strong outside shooting skills.

"Better than Wiseman for sure," one user wrote.

Brooklyn Nets could be headed for a rebuild after the trade deadline
The team's performance this season has hardly generated lively chatter. Currently at 13-24, the Nets are below .500 and a far cry from making even the play-in. As such, speculation is rife about the Nets organization hitting the reset button around the time of the 2025 trade deadline.
With the Nets currently in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, it puts them in a position to potentially secure the first overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. When that happens, choosing Cooper Flagg or making a major trade could signal the start of the Nets' gradual ascent.
