Hoops fans reacted to former NBA guard Patrick Beverley's preseason debut for Tel Aviv. Beverley suited up for his new team for the first time on Saturday during a 92-75 victory over Elitzur Ironi Netanya at the Hadar Yosef Sports Center. The former Milwaukee Bucks player struggled to make an impact, though, particularly with his scoring.

According to Eurohoops, the 36-year-old scored just three points, all from the free throw line. Although the former LA Clippers player struggled offensively, Beverley excelled in creating opportunities for his teammates. In his 15 minutes of play, the ex-Houston Rockets star dished out six assists.

Hoops fans mocked Beverley for his lackluster performance, particularly his scoring struggles. One fan bluntly highlighted his brief stint with the Bucks.

Another fan mocked Beverley for his previous remark upon joining Tel Aviv, where he claimed he wasn't content with just standing in the corner.

"Wasn’t he talkin about how he gonna be a first option now and the offense goes through him?"
"Should’ve stayed in the nba now he’s dropping the same stat line and gotta worry about being bombed," said another fan comically.

One of the X users trolled Beverley for his lack of playing time.

"They lied to that N***a said he gone be able to do whatever he want and got 15 minutes."

A couple of fans claimed that Patrick Beverley is well past his prime.

"Pat Bev putting up Pat Bev NBA numbers in Tel Aviv. Bro is washed," a fan wrote.
"Ass in all forms of basketball," said another fan.

What did Patrick Beverley say after leaving the NBA?

Patrick Beverley's decision to leave the NBA and join Tel Aviv in the Israeli Basketball Premier League surprised many hoops fans.

The former NBA guard disclosed the specific reason for his departure, stating that he was unhappy with his role in the world's best basketball league. (Start at 20:11)

"It's cool. I played a great role, I had a phenomenal NBA career when I was in the NBA," Beverley had said on 'The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone'. But I don't want to stand in the corner. I had a game when I played with the Bucks. We went Game 5, ball in my hands, dippsy doo, double-double.
"In the starting five, there are four of us, me, John Stockton, Steph Curry, and Chris Paul. And then Game 6, we get a little healthy, ball out of my hand. Not because I did anything wrong, because it's hierarchy. I'm like, 'Nah, I don't think it's the best brand for me," he added.
