Basketball fans responded to NBA analyst Nick Wright's blockbuster mock trade proposal that would bring superstars LeBron James and Steph Curry together on the same NBA team. During Friday's episode of FS1's First Things First, Wright suggested a scenario that would send LeBron and Steph to the San Antonio Spurs, where the two superstars would join forces with Victor Wembanyama and Chris Paul.

According to Wright's mock trade idea, Spurs would receive LeBron James and Steph Curry while the Los Angeles Lakers would get Keldon Johnson, Harrison Barnes and two first-round picks and Golden State Warriors securing the services of Devin Vassell, Zach Collins and two first-round picks.

Hoops fans were shocked by the NBA analyst's eye-opening mock trade idea and roasted the 39-year-old broadcaster for his proposal.

"Nick has to be under the influence of something," a fan wrote on X.
"Might be a record for most unrealistic mock trade," commented another fan.
"That’s probably the most unrealistic mock trade I’ve ever seen," said another X user.

One of the fans slammed Wright for proposing an idea that would lead to LeBron leaving the opportunity to play with his son Bronny James.

"O wow he's a genius lol..anyone can do the math, doesnt mean it will happen..how about the kid James. I'm sure Bron doesnt wait this long just to abandon his boy to contend for another. Atleast make it a bit real."

Another fan was adamant a trade like this would never come to fruition.

"In literally every universe to ever exist in the multiverse, there would be no universe in which this trade would happen."
"What is this 2K. Not even near possible. Two teams in the west trade their best players to SA. Hahahahaha. I remember my first basketball season," commented another X user.

LeBron and Steph gunning for an Olympic gold medal

Since the time Team USA's roster for the Paris Olympics was announced, fans were excited at the prospect of watching LeBron James and Steph Curry play together. The two defining players of this generation didn't disappoint.

In the semifinal, LeBron dropped a triple-double and Steph scored 36 points to help Team USA record a stunning 95-91 comeback win over Serbia. The two perennial NBA All-Stars will compete in the gold medal game against France on Saturday.

After LeBron and Steph sizzled with a in the semifinal, fans voiced their desire to watch the two superstars play together for 82 games of a NBA regular season.

The chances of that happening is slim as LeBron signed a two-year extension with the Lakers in July earlier in the year. Meanwhile, Steph has two more years remaining in his current contract with the Warriors.
