When you hear the name Shaquille O'Neal, you would automatically think of dominance and greatness. O'Neal was exactly those two words.

He was great at being dominant and took over the NBA in the late 90s and early 2000s. 'Big Diesel' blocked every shot, dunked on all his opponents, broke a few backboards and became one of the most decorated players in league history.

Shaquille O'Neal accomplished a plethora of things in the NBA. He's a four-time world champion, three-time Finals MVP, league MVP and Rookie of the Year (in 1993). He's also a 15-time All-Star, a three-time All-Star MVP, has three All-Defensive Team Selections, and has 14 All-NBA Team Selections. According to The Athletic's list of NBA 75, O'Neal is eighth among all-time greats.

'Big Diesel' isn't necessarily known to be a great shooter, but he was still an incredible scorer. Shaq was renowned for playing bully ball inside the paint. He'd always overpower his opponents and dunk on anybody who got in his way. Thanks to his dominance, it was easy for O'Neal to score on his opponents on a nightly basis.

After a 19-year-long career, O'Neal averaged 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. His best season was in 1999-00 playing for the LA Lakers. Shaq averaged 29.7 points, 13.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and three blocks. That was also the season he won his first NBA championship alongside the late Kobe Bryant.

Bryant and O'Neal easily became the most unstoppable duo in the league, entering the new millennium. Due to their efforts, the LA Lakers stood on top of the mountain for three straight years. O'Neal was unquestionably the team's top star at the time. He won all three Finals MVP awards during the Lakers' three-peat championship run.

After that, Shaq moved on from LA after he and Bryant reportedly couldn't get along with each other. O'Neal was sent to the Miami Heat where he would find success with a young Dwyane Wade.

In 2006, the big man won his last NBA championship, this time playing a supporting role for Wade. It was clear he was no longer the same player he once was with the Lakers, but at least Shaq played his role.

After retiring in 2011, O'Neal moved on to become a sports analyst for NBA on TNT. Once loved as a monstrous player on the court, he's now loved as a humorous TV personality.
