LeBron James was hyped up after Saquon Barkley went off on the Washington Commanders early in the 2024 NFC championship game. The veteran running back scored back-to-back touchdowns in the first two Eagles offensive drives, sending everybody into a frenzy, including the four-time NBA champion.
LeBron reposted a story of longtime friend Frank Walker noting that Barkley was wearing James' cleats for today's game and had already scored twice for the Eagles.
"DAMN STRAIGHT!! lol! He At It again!" James captioned the story.

After the Washington Commanders opened the scoreboard with a field goal, it only took a play for Saquon Barkley to find the end zone. First, he ran for 60 yards, avoiding opponents with a lot of tricks before finding himself in the open field to score his team's first touchdown.
The second Eagles drive had the same ending, although Barkley scored on 1st and one from the end zone. With that, he secured the third and final game of the season scoring two touchdowns against the Commanders.
He added a third one at 7:58 in the fourth quarter, extending the Eagles lead to 48-23 against a capital team that never found a response for his rushing game.
Barkley has been one of the best players in the NFL this season, earning MVP buzz in a season where Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen drew all the attention.
That said, the former New York Giants player is making a lot of noise and people are paying his respect, LeBron James included.
LeBron James admits NFL beat NBA on Christmas Day
LeBron James is a well-rounded athlete who once was close to joining the NFL during the 2011 lockout. He's often praising players and supporting his Cleveland Browns (after he stopped supporting the Dallas Cowboys), but he didn't take kindly when the NFL scheduled two games on Christmas Day, a date historically owned by the NBA.
Talking with Travis and Jason Kelce on their "New Heights" show, the LA Lakers superstar admitted that the NFL had no competition that day when it came to viewership.
"I saw the f***ing numbers after the fact. You guys kicked our a*, alright? From a viewership standpoint, y'all kicked our a**!"
The NFL collaborated with Netflix to broadcast the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens. Those two games did better numbers than the NBA's five-game slate.
