"He don’t play 1v1" - Lakers guard reveals LeBron James' lack of interest in 1v1 showdowns

Due to his versatility, Lebron James is among the most dominant players in NBA history. However, in an interview with BustaJack Gold, James' teammate Austin Reaves revealed the 39-year-old isn't fond of playing one-on-one basketball.

James' stance on the matter isn't universal, as some hoopers consider one-on-one matchups entertaining and a great way to hone their craft. Reaves had this to say about LBJ's one-on-one aversion:

"Nah, he don't play 1v1. He said 1v1's are not real basketball, which I kind of agree with."

Following his comments about LeBron, Reaves revealed he wants to play Celtics forward Sam Hauser one-on-one.

When it comes to one-on-one matchups, LeBron James' son Bryce was asked who would win if he went toe-to-toe with his father. He responded confidently to the question:

"Me."

When Bronny James participated in the NBA Combine, he shared a different view on the hypothetical 1V1 matchup between his dad and brother. The 19-year-old said those results were "to be determined."

LBJ's two sons have vastly different playing styles than their dad. Bryce takes a more aggressive offensive approach, while his older brother Bronny excels defensively.

Before answering the 1v1 question, Bryce James commended his father's legendary journey.

"He always tells me just go out there and have fun. Stay aggressive. Your shots will come to you even if they're not falling, just keep shooting and you're going to make it. Just knowing, seeing where he's come from, seeing that he's come from a little city. The build up of where he's come from is great."

In high school, LeBron James made a strong impression on NBA scouts with his unique athleticism, size and skill set. His on-court presence was unlike any other teenage prospect.

The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him number one overall in the 2003 draft. James played 11 seasons for the organization, during which time he cemented himself as one of the top players in NBA history. He is now entering his 22nd season.
