Kyle Kuzma said he would be interested to play for a different nation if Team USA basketball doesn't pick him for future tournaments. Legion Hoops posted about the Washington Wizards star's desire to suit up for Philippines if not picked by the U.S. on X, formerly Twitter.
This post received a lot of comments, with NBA fans mostly taking the opportunity to troll the former LA Lakers star.

"Well he’s obviously not getting selected by team usa so he should get packing."
Other fans joined in on the fun:
"Well... He better get ready to play for the Philippines then," a fan said.
"Buddy better learn Filipino," another added.
"'If not selected' bro just go to the Philippines," one more fan said.
Another fan asked Kuzma to start looking for a Filipino coach.
"Probably want to hit up the Filipino coach now," a fan said.
"So in other words he’ll be playing for the Philippines national team," another added.
Kyle Kuzma has never represented the USA in any international competition. He was a part of the 2019 FIBA World Cup squad but a foot injury ruled him out of the tournament. While he obviously desires to wear the national colors, fans think otherwise.
While the fans were just partaking in some harmless trolling, it could indeed be tough for Kuzma to make the team, especially with stars such as Jaylen Brown not making the team as well.
Kyle Kuzma says playing for Team USA is his "No. 1 goal"
During his Philippines tour, Kyle Kuzma sat down for an interview with All-Star Magazine and talked about his career and his aspirations. The Wizards star said that playing for Team USA was his top priority.
"My No. 1 goal is to play with Team USA for sure," Kuzma said. "In the Olympics 100% in four years. I had an opportunity to play Team USA back in 2019 FIBA World Cup before I broke my foot. ... It's very very tough to play for team USA. It's the top of the top."

Kyle Kuzma averaged 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game with the Wizards last season. If he keeps up putting such numbers, he might get a chance to represent Team USA in future international tournaments.
