NBA fans reacted to a video of Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain sharing his injury update through a dance video. Just a day ago, the Sixers rookie had posted a picture on his social media in crutches. However, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

McCain suffered a lateral meniscus tear in a game against the Indiana Pacers on Dec. 13. It was his 23rd game of the season. On Friday, it was reported that he had gone through a meniscus surgery in his knee and would eventually miss the rest of his rookie season.

The video posted by NBA on ESPN on Instagram showed McCain dancing in front of the camera without his crutches. The video didn't sit well with some of the fans.

One of the fans threw shade at McCain, saying he would be poor when a social media site is banned. Another mocked the Sixers rookie for his no-serious attitude and implied that he would be benched when he gets back next season.

"HE GONNA BE POOR WHEN THEY BAN TIKTOK😂," a fan wrote.
"Dancing his way to the nail salon…. After that, dancing to the bench," another fan said.

However, alluding to his great start in his rookie season and the fall of the Sixers, a Sixers fan wrote that McCain is the only good thing that happened to their team this season.

"The only good thing in our season😭😭," the fan noted.

Fans clowned McCain, and a fan concluded that McCain was happy that he was out for the season.

"Stop dancing stop acting like a clown for once plz bro," a fan commented.
"He dancing because he out for the year," the fan uttered.

A fan suggested that McCain stop wasting his time making TikTok videos and start practicing on the court for the remaining season.

"They got like 50 games left stop tryna make tiktoks and get on the court dude," the fan wrote.
"Make sure you do your last TikTok," another fan wrote.

Jared McCain played outstanding basketball before season-ending knee injury

Jared McCain was selected 16th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2024 NBA draft. He emerged as one of the best rookies in his class and was crucial to the rotation.

The rookie played 23 games before his injury and impressed coach Nick Nurse, especially with his scoring ability. He entered the NBA as one of the best 3-point shooters in his class but proved to be much more than what was expected from him.

McCain averaged just over 25 minutes and scored 15.5 points per game on 46.0% shooting from the field and 38.3% from the 3-point line. He also averaged 2.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 0.7 steals.
