Draymond Green talked about Steph Curry's preparations for the Golden State Warriors' game against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday. The game not only marked the start of the second edition of the NBA Cup but also saw Klay Thompson's return to Chase Center. The shooting guard spent the first 13 years of his career with Golden State before joining the Mavericks in the offseason.
During Wednesday's episode of the "Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis," the Warriors forward revealed that Steph Curry wasn't happy after Klay Thompson "ghosted him" the night before.
"I pissed Steph off, 'cause Steph was supposed to speak before the game. He was like, 'Yeah, I called Raymond and told him I'm not speaking. I just need to lock in on the game, so I ain't even speaking. And I talked to Klay about it," Green said.

"Tried to check in with Klay on something else and Klay ghosted him. So he got pissed! And here we go," he added.
The Warriors spoiled Klay Thompson's return to Chase Center with a 120-117 win that featured Steph Curry making big shots to secure the win. The point guard exploded for 37 points with five triples, including one in the clutch that was part of a personal run of scoring 12 straight points.
The Dubs improved to a Western Conference-best 9-2 record after the win, while the Mavericks fell to a 5-6 record, ranking 11th.
Thompson was content with his performance after the game and let people know that he treasures his moments with the Warriors and how they welcomed him in his first game back.
"It was a really cool experience," Thompson said. "I appreciate the fans very much. The captain's hat ended up being a great touch because I'm such a passionate boater. Saw a lot of familiar faces in the crowd, and that was a warm-hearted feeling."
"It was really cool to see the fans, their gratitude towards myself -- and something I'll never take for granted. So it was very, very awesome."
Steph Curry allegedly sent message to Klay Thompson after hitting clutch 3-pointer
As the clock ran out, Steph Curry hit a 3-pointer to give his team a 118-114 lead that they never lost. Curry was fired up after making this big shot and hit his "night night" celebration. According to X (formerly Twitter) account "LegendZ," known for transcribing in-game interactions, Curry sent a message allegedly to Klay Thompson while yelling at the camera.
"You better stay here, you better stay here," Curry seemingly said.
The Warriors continue to be one of the NBA’s hottest teams, having the third-best offensive rating and net rating.
