LA Lakers coach JJ Redick got hilariously called out by New York Knicks star Josh Hart after their tough 128-112 loss at home on Saturday. Hart called Redick's facial hair "ugly" amid his awe at seeing him coach after being teammates early in his NBA career.
Speaking to reporters after the game via SNY, Hart was asked about his feelings about going up against the Lakers and their new coach. He claimed that it wasn't weird to see Redick in charge of the legendary franchise but called out the mustache he has been donning for about a week now.
"It's not weird," Hart said. "He's ugly as hell with the mustache, though. JJ's a very handsome guy, but that mustache doesn't do him any good.
"I know he's coaching the Lakers. He's a basketball junkie. He's living the life right now. (The Lakers) are really playing well right, and he's doing a good job."

JJ Redick set to coach his former teammate
Just a few hours after the LA Lakers win over the New York Knicks, the franchise made the shocking decision to trade Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers acquired Luka Doncic, Markieff Morris and Maxi Kleber in a three-team deal with the Utah Jazz.
The Lakers also sent Max Christie and their 2029 first-round pick to the Mavericks, while the Jazz received Jalen Hood-Schifino and a couple of second-rounders. It was one of the most surprising trades in NBA history, breaking the internet after ESPN's Shams Charania reported the deal.
JJ Redick now gets to coach Doncic, who was once his teammate with the Mavericks for less than one season. It will be interesting to see the Lakers' next move, as they are pretty thin in the frontcourt following AD's departure.
