NBA fans reacted to Drake allegedly dissing LeBron James in his latest 'Fighting Irish' track that has since been taken down. Music producer Conductor Williams posted the freestyle track from the Canadian rapper on his YouTube channel, however, he immediately took it down for unknown reasons.

The verses in the song alluded to Drake and LeBron James exchanging watches and the love from the LA Lakers' star side being fake. One of the verses also allegedly threatens to tarnish James's image. Moreover, the title could also be a reference to Lebron James's high school team, the St. Vincent - St. Mary Fighting Irish.

The release of the track had fans buzzing on the social media. One of the fans wrote that Drake was alluding to James breaking their friendship:

"Drake said if he wanted to he could tarnish LeBron's public image. its obvious Bron be cheatin," a fan wrote.

One of the fans justified Drake being hurt by James's siding with Kendrick Lamar.

"Bron switching up really hurt him i can tell. &&& nobody can justify it. your brother you’ve always supported rapping along to someone else calling you a pdf file. it’s different y’all wouldn’t get it," another fan wrote.

Some of the fans wrote that Drake attacking LeBron was unnecesary since the Lakers star was also a fan of Kendrick Lamar.

"Oh Drake attacking LeBron too 🤦🏾‍♂️," an X user wrote.
"Lebron has always been a fan of Kendrick though," another X user wrote.

One fan even encouraged Drake to never reconcile with the four-time NBA champion.

"Drake should never ever reconcile with that fraud called LeBron," the fan wrote.
"That man is still hurt LeBron and Demar went to that show 🤣🤣🤣. Not sure how gettin out rapped and out strategized issa gimmick but more rappers should use this gimmick," an X user posted.

Speaking about the situation, one user said:

"Drake doesn't realize half those people were not your friends. They got starstruck the same way you got starstruck with them and then they moved on. Not gonna sit here and believe LeBron was his bestie. Come on now. 🤣

Drake makes 'fake friends' remark after LeBron James attends Kendrick Lamar's concert

In June last year, LeBron James, DeMar DeRozan and other NBA players showed up for Kendrick Lamar's Juneteenth concert in Los Angeles. LeBron James's attendance was considered a show of support for Lamar, while Lamar's beef with Drake was at its peak.

After a few months, in October, Drake sent out a big statement on friendship at Tyrone Edwards' Nostalgia Party. While addressing the crowd, the singer said that only his real friends were present with him at the party. He also addressed fake friends and said that they "stab you in the back."

"My real friends, are definitely in the building." Drake said. "But I’m going to tell you, you’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were your friends or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up. They might try to move funny with you. They might stab you in the back."

However, there hasn't been an open instance of Drake or James throwing shade at each other. During the Olympics, James even posted one of Drake's newly released shoe with Nike but netizens noted that Drake unfollowed James on Instagram after the Juneteenth concert.
