Fans took aim at Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges after he dropped his latest rap album, “Stuck in L.A.,” under his stage name "RTB MB," which stands for Real Trench Baby Miles Bridges.
World Star Hip Hop’s Instagram page highlighted one of the tracks from the album, "S**t Talk," calling Bridges "one of the nicest rappers in the NBA," which sparked numerous reactions online.
Fans were quick to challenge the claim, with one sarcastically saying that instead of escaping the hood like other rappers, Bridges seems to be trying to get out of the NBA.

Others criticized the album, calling it "trash".
Some also brought up his domestic violence case.
In June 2022, Bridges was arrested in Los Angeles on domestic violence charges after allegedly assaulting Mychelle Johnson in front of their children. He was released on a $130,000 bond.
Bridges missed the 2022-23 season due to the allegations and received a 30-game suspension from the NBA, with 10 games carrying over into the 2023-24 season. Three criminal charges against Bridges have been dropped.
The album, released earlier this week, runs for 48 minutes and contains 20 tracks. Before this, Bridges had released mixtapes “Up the Score” in December 2020 and “Halftime” in November 2021, as well as the EP “MB Vandross” in February 2022.
Miles Bridges notices Charlotte Hornets’ improved defense under new coach
With Charles Lee stepping in as the new coach, Miles Bridges noted that the Charlotte Hornets have shown defensive improvement, especially in star guard LaMelo Ball’s training.
“His coach has him doing defensive drills when everybody else is shooting around,” Bridges said (per AP).
"So it’s just him wanting to get better on defense and learning the terminology, being able to talk more on defense. I just see a different Melo on defense.”
Lee, as training camp opened, emphasized that solid defense should be the Hornets' identity to win games.
“If we can count on our defense every night, I think it gives you a great chance to win games,” Lee added.
“You need to be good on both sides of the ball in this league, but the effort that it takes to play defense doesn’t have anything to do with the ball going in the basket. It’s just the willingness, that mentality of being a little bit more physical, a little bit nastier.”
Bridges will be a key player for the Hornets this season, having averaged 21.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last year.
