Popular streamer DJ Akademiks reacted to LeBron James screaming DJ Mustard's tag from Kendrick Lamar's song "TV Off." The veteran NBA player was spotted yelling this tag during a pre-game workout, which caught the attention of fans.

Akademiks touched on this viral video in one of his latest streams, claiming that the LA Lakers superstar has an issue with Drake and wants to see the Canadian rapper "humbled."

"I got to figure out what the issue with LeBron and Drake is," Akademiks said. "Because no one can tell me that LeBron isn't secretly enjoying the fact -- And I don't think he wants Drake's downfall, but I think he wants to see Drake humbled."
"He's not making it seem like he's taking this serious, right? After all, he's a basketball player. But you could tell he's enjoying the moment."

Akademiks recalled that James attended the "Pop Up" Show in June alongside several NBA stars, then said he loved "Not Like Us" in the Olympics and now yelled out "Mustard."

"I think he's enjoying Drake getting humbled. That's the only thing I could say, 'cause I don't think he hates Drake," he added.

After several years of being very good friends, LeBron James and Drake aren't on the best terms. This can be attributed to the latter's beef with Kendrick Lamar and the consequences that followed.

Several NBA players sided with Lamar and separated from Lamar. James was one of those pumping up "Not Like Us" and even told Stephen Curry that he could not get enough of that song during a pre-Olympic duel.

What was Drake's reaction to LeBron James supporting Kendrick Lamar?

This beef has seemingly transcended the rap scene and found new grounds. Drake was not so fond of LeBron James siding with Kendrick Lamar and unfollowed the four-time NBA champion on Instagram.

The decision seemed to have no effect on James, as he was seen jamming to Drake's "Free Smoke" during a Lakers practice in the preseason. He rapped the lyrics while taking some shots, showing that the drama was getting to him.

Then again, the issue led a popular streamer named Adin Ross to sell a $500K watch only because LeBron James had the same model and wanted to show solidarity with Drake.

Nobody knows what is happening behind the scenes, but Drake and James don't seem to be on the best terms after a busy 2024.
