Rob Dillingham gives his take on pairing with Anthony Edwards

The Minnesota Timberwolves had a very strong year last season. Despite failing to reach the NBA Finals, the fact that they reached the Conference Finals for the first time in 20 years, was a big achievement. It seems like the Timberwolves’ future with Anthony Edwards is brighter after the 2024 NBA Draft.

Rob Dillingham was selected at No. 8 overall by the San Antonio Spurs but was later traded to the Timberwolves in exchange for two future first-round draft picks in 2030 and 2031. With a top-10 draft pick on the roster, the Timberwolves are in the right spot to pick up in a year or two.

When asked about what he expected from him with his pairing with Anthony Edwards, Dillingham said he was going to be solid.

“I don't even know what to expect, honestly. You know what Anthony Edwards brings. You know what to expect from him. But I'll definitely be working too. So I don't know what to expect yet, but you'll see when the season comes. It's gonna be solid for sure,” Dillingham told NBA TV.

The Timberwolves can use a lot of Dillingham’s strengths in their favor. He is quick and shoots excellently from the three-point line. He can be excellent on defense and can help the team open up the floor for others to operate. Moreover, Dillingham is also a great player in isolation.
