Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball gave an update to the fans regarding his brother, LiAngelo, who has became a hip-hop sensation overnight. On Jan. 4, the younger Ball brother released his hit song "Tweaker" under the rapper name G3. Since its release, the song has become a hit and is popular even among famous athletes.
Lonzo, his older brother, hinted that a new smash song would be released soon. Fans were informed by X that a new song would be out on Friday. He did not, however, specify which Friday the song will be released. Hence, LiAngelo has not shared the song with his fans.
On Monday, the Bulls guard gave an update to his followers online and told them that the release had been delayed.
"Now y’all see why we couldn’t drop… Higher ups said hold up lol Was outta my hands," Ball said.

He teased the followers on X on Sunday, letting them know that a major event was on the way. Early on Monday, it was revealed that his younger brother signed with a record label. ESPN's Shams Charania confirmed this move.
"LiAngelo Ball has signed a deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group, a representative from his label Born2Ball Music Group says. Sources said the deal is worth as much as $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed, and gives Ball full ownership of music and his own record label," Charania posted on X.
LiAngelo's debut single has received over 7.9 million views on YouTube since it was released. 'Tweaker' has received over 15 million plays on Spotify.
Fans are looking forward to the upcoming song from the second Ball brother. According to the oldest brother, LiAngelo's upcoming song is sure to be a success.
Fans react to Lonzo Ball's update
When fans learned about Lonzo Ball's brother's plans for the release of his next single, they were taken aback. In a previous video, the Bulls guard mocked fans while listening to the song in the locker room with his teammates. However, things took a turn after LiAngelo signed with a record label.
After Ball gave the update on X, fans revealed their honest thoughts.
"Now that he signed to a major label, he's never going to drop again, like these other boujie artists," one fan said.
"I thought Gelo’s music was for the streets. Y’all sold out after dropping one song!? Come on now @LiAngeloBall 🤣," another fan said.
"Signed his life away… no way u let ur bro sign a 360 b4 an NBA contract," a fan said.
Others were in full support of their decision.

However, there is still no update on when the next song will come out.
