Amen Thompson led the Rockets with 20 points, five rebounds and four assists on 8-for-14 shooting. Dillon Brooks had 16 points and five rebounds on 5-for-14 shooting, including 3-for-9 from the 3-point line. Alperen Sengun finished with 14 points (5-for-11 shooting), seven rebounds and six assists.

Off the bench, Jabari Smith Jr. contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds on 6-for-10 shooting (3-for-6 on 3-pointers), while Tari Eason added 13 points (6-for-11 shooting).
LA won its second consecutive game and has strengthened its grip on the No. 4 spot in the Western Conference. They moved two games ahead of the fifth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies (44-31), who lost to the Boston Celtics on Monday. The Lakers (46-29) are one game behind the third-placed Denver Nuggets (47-28).
On the other hand, Houston's three-game winning run was halted. Coming into the game, they had won 12 of their last 13. The Rockets (49-27) have a one-and-a-half-game lead over the Nuggets and are up two and a half games over the Lakers.
