LA Lakers rookie Quincy Olivari might not have been on many people's radars in the 2024 NBA Draft; after all, he went undrafted. However, he turned heads with his performance during the preseason and while he has yet to suit up for regular season games, the point guard has already earned a shoe deal.
According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, Olivari is finalizing a deal with Steph Curry's shoe brand in partnership with Under Armour.
Several fans used the news about Quincy Olivari's upcoming deal as an opportunity to share various reactions.

"How does Lebron FEEL??" One fan asked.
"Even curry and the warriors feel bad for the Lakers. Trying to send us signals and help us out lmao," one fan said.
"Look at Curry he so inspirational," one person tweeted.
Meanwhile, some fans called for the Lakers to finally put Olivari on the main roster.
"Cool. But will he finally play? Lol. Tired of DSlow, Gabe and JHS," one fan said.
"Now they need to give him minutes," another person chimed in.
"Lakers should bring him up seems like he got good energy and they got nothing to lose lol," one person tweeted.
While he has yet to play on the main roster, Quincy Olivari has shown glimpses of his potential for the South Bay Lakers. Olivari has averaged 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in five games. So far, he has made 37.1 percent of his attempts, including a 41.3 percent clip from the 3-point line.
Quincy Olivari became emotional after meeting Steph Curry in a preseason game
The LA Lakers closed their six-game preseason slate on Oct. 18 against the Golden State Warriors. That game featured the likes of Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Gary Payton II and Buddy Hield for the Warriors. Meanwhile, none of LA's stars or veterans suited up.
The Warriors won with a 58-point landslide victory (132-74). But despite that, Lakers rookie Quincy Olivari stole some of the attention. Olivari led all scorers with 22 points on an 8-for-16 shooting clip (5-for-9 from behind the 3-point line).
He also had that breakout performance in front of his idol Stephen Curry, who did not suit up but was in attendance. When the game concluded, Olivari got a chance to meet Curry.
During the postgame press conference, Olivari was asked about meeting his idol.
"I liked him since I was in sixth grade," OIivari said about Curry.
He started getting choked up at this point before he continued talking about meeting his favorite player.
"That's my favorite player ever," Olivari continued while visibly holding back tears. "First thing he told me was 'I'm a big fan of your game' and truth be told I'm a big fan of him. I had his jersey, he signed it twice. I used to sleep under that jersey."
Now, Quincy Olivari is set to join the Curry Brand, which feels like a full-circle moment for the rookie.
