Mac McClung was an internet sensation in high school playing for Gate City in Virginia. He became popular due to his high-flying dunks before playing college basketball at Georgetown and Texas Tech.

McClung declared for the 2021 NBA draft but went undrafted. McClung first played for the LA Lakers' G League affiliate in 2021 before the Chicago Bulls signed him to a 10-day deal. He made his NBA debut on Dec. 30 that year against the Atlanta Hawks, scoring two points.

After his second 10-day contract with the Bulls expired, the Lakers re-acquired him and assigned him to the G League. He played in the final Lakers game of the season, dunking the ball in the final seconds of their win against the Denver Nuggets.

McClung became a free agent in 2022 summer, with the Golden State Warriors signing him to a training camp deal. After waived by the Golden State Warriors in 2023 summer, he joined the Delaware Blue Coats.

After a season with the Philadelphia 76ers, McClung became part of the Magic organization. During his time with the 76ers' G League team, the Delaware Blue Coats, he played a pivotal role in winning the championship.

Adding to his accolades, he earned the 2022 G League Rookie of the Year award while playing for the South Bay Lakers, the affiliate team of the Los Angeles Lakers.

It has been another impressive weekend for McClung, who has consistently been one of the standout performers in the G League this season. He boasts impressive statistics, averaging 23.7 points with a shooting accuracy of 50.4 percent overall and 39.3 percent from beyond the arc in 14 regular-season games for Osceola.
