LeBron James will make history next season as the first NBA player to share the floor with his son, Bronny James. LeBron said he's not worried about the way their familial relationship will carry over to the court.
"It’s going to work just like any one other of my teammates," James said.
LeBron said he values maintaining the same attitude and level of communication that he expects from any of his teammates.

"I’m going to hold him accountable, and he should hold me accountable when I do things not right," he said. "I can separate dad from teammate."
LeBron is entering his 22nd season in the NBA, which will tie legend Vince Carter for the most seasons played. At 39 years old, he recorded 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game for the Lakers last season, before getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Denver Nuggets.
Bronny was drafted with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 Draft after just playing 25 games in his lone season at USC. He averaged 4.8 points per game, with 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He recorded 16 steals and 5 blocks total in college.
Last August, Bronny went into cardiac arrest during a USC practice and was hospitalized for three days in Los Angeles. He underwent treatment for a congenital heart defect and returned to the floor in December 2023.
Bronny James quiet in first two summer league games
Bronny James has appeared in two summer league games so far for the Lakers, playing in their debut against the Sacramento Kings on July 6 and against the Miami Heat on Wednesday.
Against Sacramento, Bronny scored just four points, grabbed two boards, and dished out two assists in a loss. He shot 2-9 from the field, including 0-3 from the three-point line.
In the game versus Miami, he made an impact defensively despite another poor shooting performance. He racked up three blocks and two steals but scored just three points on 1-3 shooting, and 1-2 from the free throw line.
The Lakers' next game will be against the Houston Rockets on Friday.
