Former NBA champion Nick Young has an interesting life story. The former Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors star was among the most entertaining in the association during his active days.

Both on and off the court, Young could get everybody's attention. This week, he shocked an interviewer when discussing his family ties with celebrities. 'Swaggy P' revealed that he's cousins with rappers Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem, as well as fellow NBA champion and former teammate Kevon Looney.

Kevon Looney, that's my first cousin. My mom's sister's son," Young said on Sloane Knows. "He's young and they lived in Milwaukee. I didn't [see him that often]."

When it came to the rappers, Nick Young added that he hadn't met Baby Keem but grew up hooping with Kendrick Lamar until they went separate ways.

"Kendrick is on my dad's side. He's my dad's sister's daughter's son," he said. "I haven't met him [Baby Keem] yet. I grew up with Kendrick. I wasn't going to Compton like that. When we grew up, he played with us a little bit, but he was always short. Kendrick was small.
"And he just disappeared, I'd say after my senior or freshman year at USC. And he popped up being a rapper. I didn't even know."

He then recalled winning championships with Looney, one of his cousins, wondering if they made NBA history with that feat.

While Young and Looney became NBA champions, Kendrick and Keem have become big names in the Hip Hop world. The former has won several awards thanks to his songs, marking an era in the music industry.

Keem hasn't been as controversial as his cousin, but he's established himself in the Hip Hop world, releasing projects that have gotten big praise.

Nick Young blames D'Angelo Russell for Lakers' failure this season

Nick Young recently reignited his feud with former Los Angeles Lakers teammate D'Angelo Russell, blaming him for the team's shortcomings this season.

"They depended on DLo and that's just you asking to lose," Young said on Vlad TV. "You just asking to lose right there, putting your faith in that. They put faith in a snitch and the snitch let you down."

He hadn't moved on from their situation in 2016 when Russell recorded a private conversation between him and Young where he asked about his love life. So, whenever he has the chance to send a message to D'Lo, Nick Young doesn't miss it. He even admitted he'd like to box with the Lakers guard.
