Things got chippy between Denver Nuggets' Russell Westbrook and Detroit Pistons' Isaiah Stewart. The Nuggets took care of business against the Pistons on Saturday, 134-121. Footage of the leaked audio interaction between the two was posted on YouTube.

In the middle of the third quarter, Westbrook tried to drive to the basket but was called for an offensive foul. After the whistle was blown, the veteran point guard wanted to dunk the ball but Stewart tried to stop him.

Because of the big man's physicality, Westbrook tried to protect himself and used his elbow against Stewart. After the play, the Nuggets guard complained to the official about the call and kept asking him the reason for the foul call. Following that play, the nine-time All-Star redeemed himself after getting a defensive stop by drawing a charging foul on Cade Cunningham.

In the next play, Westbrook, defended by Malik Beasley, sets a screen for Nikola Jokic, who has Stewart on him. Beasley switched on Jokic, who executed a give-and-go play with Julian Strawther. The Serbian center attempted a layup, which the Pistons center blocked.

However, he was whistled for goaltending as he blocked the ball on its way down. After committing a violation, Westbrook called Stewart a "dumba**." However, the Pistons player didn't like what the nine-time All-NBA said and talked trash to him on the way back to the other side of the floor.

"I'll beat the f**k out of you," Stewart said to Westbrook (1:01). "B***h a** n***a."

After what Stewart said, he was called for a technical foul.

In the end, Westbrook and the Nuggets had the last laugh as they ended the game with the win. The backup point guard finished with eight points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

Westbrook was ready to take on Isaiah Stewart while playing for the Lakers

Westbrook had to deal with Isaiah Stewart's volatile temper while he was a member of the LA Lakers in the 2021-22 season. It occurred after LeBron James unintentionally elbowed his eye. James tried to downplay the situation by apologizing to Stewart. But the Pistons big man tried to get physical with James and had to be held by his team.

Being the ultimate teammate, Westbrook came from the back to try and get the Pistons big man away from his teammate. Eventually, the Pistons got to hold him away from the four-time champion.

However, he was determined to get a piece of James and ran towards where the Lakers were. At around the 1:35 part of the video posted by Bleacher Report, Westbrook was seen holding his fists up, ready for action.
