WNBA star Candace Parker recently discussed her favorite women's basketball player of all time on "The Draymond Green Show."
"I'm a big era person, " Parker said. "I feel like the GOAT is who you aspire to be like, right? – when you're in your driveway and you're trying to be like that person. And I watched a lot of tape, and my dad was big on Cheryl Miller.
"I know a lot of people didn't get to see her play, and her career was cut short and there was no WNBA for her to really prove what could've been. I think just somebody at 6-2, that could handle the ball, that was athletic, like, you didn't see that. She was way before her time."

Looking at Cheryl Miller's professional career
Cheryl Miller was well known for her stellar years at the University of Southern California. For four years, she dominated with her scoring and intense rebounding that led to her two NCAA championships (1983 and 1984).
However, the WNBA didn't exist when she finished college in 1986 to continue her professional career. Luckily for her, Team USA became her outlet to showcase her talents. With the national squad, Miller won a gold medal five times in different international tournaments, including one Olympics.
Due to her being a constant on Team USA's roster, she was honored by FIBA by naming her to their Hall of Fame. Miller was also inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 1999.
