Aside from being married to Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union is most known for her successful career as an actress. She went on a rant on social media about the hurdles in the industry for a woman of color like herself.
Three weeks ago, Union announced that she was leaving the platform X (formerly Twitter). These days, the wife of the Miami Heat legend can be found on the rival social media site BlueSky.
On Tuesday, Gabrielle Union put a post from her BlueSky account on her Instagram story. In the post, she talks about being direct and honest with people, especially when it comes to being mistreated.

Nobody knows what Union was referencing in this post, but her follow-up provided some insight. In response to a comment from the first post, she talked about being an African American woman trying to make her way in Hollywood.
Over the years, Dwyane Wade's wife has made numerous appearances on TV and in movies. She's most known for appearing in films like Bring It On and 10 Things I Hate About You. Union has also popped up in some music videos, working with artists such as Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J.
Gabrielle Union posts long message amid exit from Twitter
The reason why Gabrielle Union's posts can now be found on BlueSky is because she's among the many celebrities to leave X/Twitter. In November, she put out an elongated message as to why she made this decision.
While her account is still live, Union is no longer active on X. Her move to BlueSky stemmed from changes within the social media platform and the users on it.
"With the recent and upcoming changes to the terms of service-and the return of volatile figures-I find myself at a crossroads," Union wrote. "Facing a direction I can no longer fully support. I am committed to engaging in spaces that trule value inclusivity, respect, and intergrity in the digital world. Sometimes, that means recognizing the last straw and knowing when to step away."
When she isn't making changes to her social media presence, Gabrielle Union is balancing marriage, motherhood and her career. For most of their time together, the couple's children were all from Wade's previous relationship. However, that changed in 2018 when they welcomed a daughter into the world with the help of a surrogate.
As for her career, Union continues to pursue opportunities in the acting the world along with being a model and advocate for various causes.
