Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler has been sidelined for the past five games with an illness. Because of that, Butler missed out on Sunday's scuffle between the Heat and the Houston Rockets, which started with an incident between Tyler Herro and Amen Thompson. After Thompson threw Herro to the ground, players and coaches swarmed the scene, attempting to help officials break things up.

Additionally, police officers went to the court to help restore peace. All in all, a total of six people were ejected from the game. On top of Thompson, Jalen Green, Terry Rozier, and Herro all getting ejected, Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and assistant coach Ben Sullivan were both tossed as well.

The way Butler sees things, if he had been on the court during the scuffle, things would have been different. While speaking with Brady Hawk of Five Reasons Sports Network, Butler said that regardless of whether or not he was playing. If he had been at Sunday's game, he would have gotten involved in the scuffle.

“I wish I was able to get in on the mix. For sure, I’m getting tossed. I probably would’ve been on the floor for that one. But if I was on the bench, for T? I’m crossing that line,” Butler uttered.

While Butler missed Sunday's game, the Heat and the Rockets will play again on March 2, giving him a chance to share the court with Houston in a highly-anticipated rematch.

NBA hands out suspensions and fines for Sunday's Heat-Rockets altercation Jimmy Butler wishes he was a part of

On Tuesday, the NBA issued suspensions and fines for those involved in the Heat-Rockets brawl. Although the league determined that Herro started the incident by leaning on Thompson, Herro was hit with a $25,000 fine while Thompson was suspended for two games.

Additionally, Rozier was suspended for a game, while Green was hit with a $35,000 fine, and Udoka has a $50,000 fine.

The statement released by the league via the NBA Communications account included the following explanation in the case of Udoka, who was ejected during the scuffle:

"Udoka has been fined $50,000 for verbal abuse of a game official and failing to leave the court in a timely manner following his technical foul and ejection. Rockets assistant coach Ben Sullivan was also ejected."

With the Heat set to be without Rozier on Wednesday, the return of Jimmy Butler will be a welcome sight for Miami. Although Butler has remained noncommittal about his future with the franchise, there are indications that he will be back in action for Wednesday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
