OKC Thunder big man Chet Holmgren made an appearance on Paul George’s “Podcast P” show and humorously tried to stir up some tension by asking George a question about the hierarchy on the Philadelphia 76ers.

As Holmgren's time on the show was wrapping up, he was given the opportunity to ask Paul George a question, and he said:

“Let me try and f**k up y'all chemistry. Y'all need a bucket. End of the game. Who's shooting the game-winning shot? You or Jo (Joel Embiid)?”

Paul George sidestepped the question, suggesting it was better directed at their coach, Nick Nurse, and expressed his confidence that his coach would design a play to get the “best shot.”

Labeling George’s response as a “PR answer,” Holmgren followed up with another question:

“I’m (gonna) continue to f**k up the chemistry. If it’s not you, are you gonna be salty?”

George replied that he’s accustomed to sharing the spotlight with other stars who take clutch shots. He had played with Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony in OKC and Kawhi Leonard and James Harden in LA.

“Nah. I’ve dealt with that,” George said. “You know what I mean? I’ve been on teams with other superstars and you know. Yeah. We live and die with whoever takes it.”

The 76ers have a lot of options aside from Paul George and Joel Embiid

The Philadelphia 76ers shocked the basketball world by successfully landing Paul George, the top free agent of the year. They signed him to a four-year, $212 million contract, teaming him up with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

At his introductory press conference, George mentioned that he’s long admired what Embiid and Maxey have been doing.

“I’ve always been a fan of Tyrese and Joel from afar,” George said. “And Joel has secretly been one of my closest All-Star Game friends. It kind of felt inevitable that at some point, we would link up and be teammates.”

The team underwent a major roster overhaul, parting ways with Tobias Harris, Buddy Hield, Nicolas Batum, Mo Bamba, De'Anthony Melton, Cam Payne and Paul Reed Jr.

But they replenished their lineup with a host of new players, including Eric Gordon, Andre Drummond, Reggie Jackson and Caleb Martin.

They also recently secured a deal to add Guerschon Yabusele, who had an impressive run with silver-medalist France in the Olympics.

In the draft, they brought in guard Jared McCain and big man Adem Bona.

Additionally, they re-signed Kyle Lowry, KJ Martin and Kelly Oubre Jr. and extended Maxey’s contract.

The 76ers are projected to win 52.5 games, according to ESPN BET.
