On January 18, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole faced off as the Golden State Warriors took on the Washington Wizards. It was the second time the teams went up against each other this season. The Warriors came out on top with a 122-114 finish.
During a post-game interview in the locker room, the media asked Jordan Poole how it felt to go up against his former teammates. Poole then threw a subtle jab at Draymond Green saying:
“I love those guys over there. I love most of those guys over there.”
Emphasizing the word "most" was Poole's way of saying that he still isn't on good terms with Green. Draymond responded on his podcast by stating that he was apologetic for what he did in the past and thought that everyone had already moved on from the altercation.

"It's been three years," Green said. "Like let's move on. ... I really am sorry. (Poole's) statement was kind of like it was looking for some sympathy. ... Move on bro. It is what it is. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have punched him."
However, former Golden State Warriors guard Gilbert Arenas has other ideas regarding the beef between Green and Poole.
"Draymond, if you want (Poole) to stop, all you have to do is just say, 'If that motherf***er keeps saying this and bringing this s**t up, I'ma punch his a** again,'" Arenas said on his podcast.
Looking back at the Draymond Green and Jordan Poole incident
During the 2022-23 NBA season, in October 2022, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole got involved in a physical altercation during practice. At the time, Green and Poole didn't see eye to eye. Jordan said some words to Draymond, which resulted in the Golden State Warriors veteran riling up and punching him in the face.
Green then made a public apology, while Poole remained calm about the situation. Both players had to suck it up and get along as teammates as the season went by. However, their relationship has been rocky from that point forward.
This resulted in the Warriors making the tough decision of who to let go among the two players. Ultimately, Golden State decided to stick with Green, and traded Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards during the 2023 offseason.
