Fans were surprised after learning that Adidas will soon be parting ways with Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young. According to Sole Retriever, the Adidas Trae Young 4 will be his last signature sneaker with the German company. No additional details have been provided about the reason behind this decision.
Plenty of fans shared their surprise at that decision, with some saying if he was a little taller, another famous brand would have placed its attention on him.
"If only he was 6'8 he would be a Jordan brand guy," one fan said.

Other fans were ruthless with the sneakers, using any type of names to describe them.
Some fans threw shade at Adidas and even other players' sneakers.
Trae Young remains one of the most entertaining players in the NBA, although he's been unable to replicate the impressive 2020-21 season he had with the Atlanta Hawks, going to the Eastern Conference finals where the eventual champions Milwaukee Bucks took them out.
Besides his inconsistencies on the court, Young's sneakers didn't make numbers for Adidas. Some of the comments fans made underneath that post confirm that they were never their favorites, which could explain why Adidas came to that decision.
Trae Young once again linked with the Lakers
As the situation with Adidas gets sorted out, Trae Young remains a popular name in trade rumors. The veteran guard has been linked with a move to the LA Lakers for the last couple of seasons, and as the new season approaches, he is once again associated with the purple and gold, according to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report.
Pincus notes that the Lakers would need to make one or multiple trades to reshape their roster before the 2025 trade deadline on February 6. He also mentions other intriguing potential targets, including Jerami Grant, Marcus Smart, Walker Kessler, Jonas Valanciunas and even an old face like Brandon Graham.
The Lakers have tried to win the championship in the past two seasons but have been stopped each time by the Denver Nuggets. With their current roster, they might fall short again, but it remains to be seen if the front office will make a trade to acquire a third star or different role players.
