Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union wore Prada at the 2023 Met Gala
The Met Gala is one of the most exclusive events in the world. Only a handful of athletes and celebrities are invited, and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have been regularly attending it over the years. The couple wore Prada at the 2023 edition of the event.
In an interview with GQ Sports, Wade explained along with his stylist Jason Bolden why they decided to wear Prada for the 2023 Met Gala. It was all about getting compliments from other people as well as letting his creativity flow with whatever he wanted to wear.
"I take a lot of my creative from people who understand the fashion pulse. Once we knew we were going with Prada, now it starts with, 'Hey, how do we want this to feel and look?'
"We just kind of work backwards from there. So we start coming up with a concept, and then it goes to a drawing and so forth," Wade said.
Dwyane Wade praised for 2024 Paris Olympics broadcasting stint
NBC Sports went big for their basketball broadcast by signing Miami Heat legend and Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade, who served as a color commentator. Wade was paired with Noah Eagle, and the tandem did a fantastic job covering the sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Mike Tirico, the host of the Olympics for NBC, had nothing but praise for Wade for the wonderful job he did in the broadcast booth.
"We enjoyed listening to you. It was like you were watching the game at home and forgot you were on tv," Tirico said. [H/T Sports Illustrated]
Wade was very thankful for the opportunity, adding broadcasting to his portfolio following a legendary career in the NBA. He has gone into business, fashion and even team ownership after retiring in 2019.
