Klay Thompson went down memory lane and took out some of the oldest pictures from his past. On his social media, the Dallas Mavericks star posted two pictures, featuring two of the most iconic faces in American history: Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson.
Thompson shared both pictures with his fans on his Instagram story. In the first, Thompson was seen shaking hands with MJ, while the former Golden State Warriors player was in the practice facility.
In the other post, Thompson had a picture of the autographed poster of the sci-fi musical short movie Captain EO, starring pop legend Michael Jackson. The movie was released in 1986, four years before Thompson was born. But the movie ran in Disney theme parks until 1998.

Thompson's father Mychal Thompson was one of the known faces in the NBA in the 90s. He played 13 years in the NBA and won two titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, in 1987 and 1988.
While Klay got into the NBA with his ability, meeting big stars while his father played for the Lakers would not have been a big issue for the Mavs player.
After playing 11 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Klay Thompson chose to move on from his former team and sign with the Mavericks. This will be the first time Thompson will touch the ball against the Warriors.
It will be interesting to see how the four-time NBA champion plays when he meets the Warriors for the first time as an opponent next season.
Kevin Durant includes Klay Thompson in his starting five
Kevin Durant shared his starting five among the current NBA players on Boardroom. KD's NBA 2K25 starting five had two Mavericks players: Luka Doncic and Klay Thompson. The latter was also his teammate in the Warriors.
The other three included Durant himself, LeBron James and Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid.
"I'd probably go with Luka (Doncic) at the point," Durant said. "Luka, me, LeBron (James), (Joel) Embiid at my five because Embiid can shoot the three better than (Nikola Jokic) ... Then you gotta go with someone like Klay. He's 6'7", shooting that thing like that."
While replacing Joker with Embiid does make sense, at least according to KD's reasoning, Thompson is definitely one of the biggest surprises. Not only Durant has left Kyrie Irving out but also Steph Curry, arguably the greatest shooter in NBA history.
Starting any dream lineup today without Curry seems like an impossible scenario. Especially after what Curry did at the Olympics, leaving him off the list seems a little surprising.
Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant played three seasons together with the Warriors. They won two back-to-back titles together in 2017 and 2018. No wonder KD wants Klay in his dream team.
