Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics will face the New York Knicks in their season opener on Tuesday. The Celtics will enter the season as the defending champions and the team with the highest championships in NBA history.

Brown entered the arena with a custom Celtics' 18th championship jacket worth $6,144 (per Jeff Hamilton Shop). He paired it with black trousers and black leather shoes. Brown also carried two pairs of his 741 Performance shoes. Brown launched the brand 741 Performance last month.

The championship jacket had the Celtics logo on the left chest and at the back. The text "18-time champions" was written on the right chest and the back.

Last season, the Celtics won their 18th championship after 16 years. They won their last championship in 2008 with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett on the roster. Boston will once again enter the season as the championship favorite.

The Knicks vs Celtics is one of the two games scheduled for the opening night. In the second game, the LA Lakers will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference.

Jaylen Brown is excited for the Celtics ring night

The 2023-24 season was the best season of Jaylen Brown's career so far. Brown and the Celtics players will get their championship ring tonight.

The reigning NBA Finals MVP has been eagerly awaiting this night since winning the title.

"It still hasn't like really settled in," Brown said. "I am looking forward to the ring ceremony. I think there will be some emotions flowing on that night. It's pretty cool."

Brown won both the NBA Finals and Eastern Conference Finals MVP. When asked if he still has both trophies with him, he said he has one with him and the other with his mom.

Brown won the Finals MVP over Jayson Tatum. In five games in the finals against the Dallas Mavericks, Brown averaged 20.8 points on 44.0% shooting from the field and 23.5% from the 3-point line. He also averaged 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Tatum averaged 22.2 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 7.2 apg and 1.0 spg. The Celtics' star shot 38.8 from the field and 26.3 from beyond the arc.
