All-Star forward Jimmy Butler shows off new hairstyle on social media and fans rave about it as an "emo" look. The Miami Heat star has a lot of time on his hands as he entered the offseason earlier than expected because of injury. Butler is enjoying his time away from basketball and trying new things.

Butler couldn't fight for his 2023-24 season as he dealt with an injury that sidelined him during the postseason. The Heat star was only present during the play-in tournament, where he sustained the injury against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Now, he's got so much time on his hands and is doing all sorts of activities with his friends. He posted a video of himself playing cards with his friends on Instagram and debuting his newest hairstyle. Take a look at the photos below to see his new look.

Earlier this season, Butler surprised fans with a unique hairstyle. The Heat forward showed up during his team's media day with an emo look. His hair was straightened out and combed to the side, covering his right eye. This landed him a gig to star in Fall Out Boy's "So Much (for) Stardust."

Many were surprised to see the star forward with dreadlocks a season before. Butler went to a salon and had his dreads done. He also had dreadlock extensions, which made it even longer.

Jimmy Butler shuts down Lakers rumors after attending Sparks game

Last Friday, Jimmy Butler attended the LA Sparks game against the Dallas Wings. While watching the game, he wore a Cameron Brink jersey and was in full support of the rookie. After the game, the two players took a photo together.

Later, he mentioned that the No. 22 looks good in purple and gold. Those are the team colors of the Sparks, as well as the LA Lakers. Shortly after he made those comments, fans started to speculate on Butler potentially joining the team.

However, he quickly shut the rumors on social media.

"First and foremost, y'all see this shirt/jersey I’m wearing right now. 22 purple and gold says Brink, not Butler, unfortunately. Sorry LA fans," Butler said. "But hey, shoutout to you, Cam. Thank you for all the love and support."

Butler is due for an extension with the Miami Heat. He'll enter the 202 free agency with an option to either pick up his player option or decline it and become a free agent.
